Emanuel Wohlfarter: Sunkid magic carpet
Magic carpet was introduced for the first time at the Ski Park in Hungary. In December it was only a short one operating in front of a shopping centre in Budapest, and two month later we have already one at Mátra. This new type of lift is now serving beginners and guests of the tubing piste. Sunkid is easy to build, you can put it together from 3 meter panels in a short time. Everything was specifically designed for kids in order to avoid accidents. The Sun Kid " Magic Carpet" is still improved.

Sándor Babos: The role and development of muscle tone in children ski instructing
It is important to have a good basis in order to achieve good result. From the main skiing elements the most important one is the balance which has to be performed during gliding. It often happens with beginners that in case of an off-balance situation they react with a lose hold of the muscle tone.
The reason why this happens could be underdeveloped muscle but most of the times it is the lack of regulation and coordination of the muscle tone that is not adequately coordinated by the central nervous system. This phenomenon can arise for children because of the very young age. Notwithstanding, many children come for ski instructing due to the press of parents.
To develop the correct and adequate muscle tone necessary for skiing special exercises, equipments and special assistance are needed.
During the workshop I will present these playful exercises and equipments with the contribution of children starting from the beginning of the ski syllabus to parallel skiing, specially touching the incorrect and correct ways of assistance.

Agoston Dosek: Ski sport and environment
Human activity has always left traces on the environment. These traces, the results of human civilization, have been mostly evaluated as positive. Although human beings are still relatively defenseless in nature, human intervention is endangering the future of our planet.
The ski sport and ski business are evaluated by green movements as a large impact on the Earth!

LECTURE
What does a ski instructor need for treating injuries? NOT a first aid kit.
Zsombor Lacza, MD, PhD,
Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary
There are several well-known problems which frequently arise during a ski trip especially among large groups of less experienced skiers. Bruises, strains, minor wounds, lower back pain, knee swelling are the most common, and skiers often seek advice from group members, guides, instructors before attending a clinic.

Miklós Ozsváth: Be cool - Counterpoints as focus in the Hungarian ski education
The ski instructor's job is never perfect. While we try to teach the right skiing technique, we often develop also some wrong movements. That is why we are always searching for the more efficient and effective methods. We analyse the typical mistakes and try to find their reason. Based on this, we are changing, developing our methods constantly, we shift the focus.

Miklós Ozsváth: Be cool - Counterpoints as focus in the Hungarian ski education
In this workshop we deal in practice with the topic of the presentation with similar title
At developing the counterpoints of strain and relaxation of the muscles, activity and passivity, work and recreation it seems suitable to do less exercises. It is more important to develop the appropriate atmosphere. You have to make the student believe, that relaxation can help to control the ski. He should believe that leaving the ski work after a certain position, the ski will do its task itself. He should believe that one striving for absolute safety at skiing, will always be insecure. Who on the other hand is daring to take a short, slightly insecure period in the curve, gets a more stable skiing in exchange.

Prüfungswesen in Japan

PRESENTATION to IVSI Congress
MATRA, Hungary 26 January 2009
Practically all of you know me, for those who don't: apart from 10 years as secr.gen. of Interski (1995-2005), I attended ISIA congresses since 1976 in Banff, as well a a considerable number of IVSI and IVSS congresses, and all INTERSKI congresses (except one) since 1979 in Zao.
My organization is not only a member of ISIA and Interski, but also of IVSI and IVSS. Why?
First, because we consider international contacts, cooperation and exchange of ideas and information on developments, of paramount importance in snow sports.
Second, because in the Netherlands we don't have the distinction between areas like ISIA, IVSI and IVSS. We just have ‘ski instructors'.
SUI Daniel Friedli: Factors of human performance
WORKSHOP
Performance Model - Factors of human performance
How can we transport the factors of human performance in their totality in a simple way during the first state of snowsports education? Models can help us, to visualize the most important points on the surface. This improves our understanding and helps to observe, assess and advise in a global way. The deeper our knowledge the more information we gather in our personal models.
The performance model is designed to illustrate how movements are made and performance is achieved in sport. It explores how the prerequisites can be changed depending on weather participants are using sport to improve their health, enjoying recreational sport or successfully competing in elite sport. The performance model indicates the four components of sporting performance.
